HDRC 2025 —
Fourth Annual Conference
Monday, 8 September 2025 · Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Law Faculty · Unter den Linden 9, Berlin
The Rule of Law and
International Arbitration
On behalf of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wagner and the IDR LL.M. Alumni, the fourth annual Humboldt Dispute Resolution Conference brought together scholars, practitioners, and alumni for a day of rigorous discussion in the heart of Berlin.
The 2025 conference turned its focus to the Rule of Law in international arbitration — at a time when it faces unprecedented challenges. From the rise of artificial intelligence and climate litigation to fractured supply chains and shifting geopolitical power, panellists explored whether the Rule of Law can hold steady amidst global disruption.
The afternoon concluded with a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wagner, followed by two panels and a networking reception at Mokka Mitte Bar.
